Michael P. Tyson

Mike Tyson is an experienced taxation litigator. He has tried numerous cases in US Tax Court, Federal Court, and State Court. He represents clients dealing with all sorts of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax controversy matters. He is an experienced negotiator for offers in compromise, installment payment agreements, penalty abatement, and release of federal tax liens and levies. Mr. Tyson also assists with individual and business tax return preparation.

Mr. Tyson graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in History and a Minor in Philosophy in 2007, and from Stetson Law School with a J.D. in 2010. He then attended the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University, receiving his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation in 2011. Prior to establishing The Tyson Tax Law Firm, Mr. Tyson worked as a tax attorney for Johnson & Johnson, P.A., and as a trial attorney for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel in Manatee County, Florida. Mr. Tyson handled serious criminal litigation matters including murder, arson, robbery, and burglary.
